About The Programme - New Syllabus for 2026!
Our Lil Dragons programme consists of 30-40 minute lessons. It introduces young childen to the basics of Taekwon-Do but it is much more than that. Students learn about the importance of paying attention, being kind and showing respect, and learning to concentrate. (Please be aware that attention spans in young children tend to be much shorter, so there can be a lot of repetition involved in learning basic techniques).
There are 9 belts on this programme to give little ones a target to aim for and to give them a sense of achievement every time they pass a grading. For children who pick things up very quickly, we are happy to move them up to an appropriate belt ahead of time where required. In this respect we encourage parents to get fully involved with their child's education to help them progress as quickly as possible. Once this programme is completed students will be ready to learn the standard syllabus for older children and adults.
Our Lil Dragons lessons are taught in a fun way and students even learn how to count in Korean! The programme runs on Sundays at 10.00am in Thornton and Thursdays at 6.00pm in Bispham. Want to find out more? Call us on 07708 374062.
